Belles
Born in Omaha, Nebraska and based in Nashville, Belles, whose real name is Kelli Belles, develops a writing anchored in contemporary country while keeping a clear link to the codes of classic country. Her repertoire blends ballads, radio-friendly mid-tempo tracks and more nerve-wracking songs, with particular attention paid to storytelling, to the characters and everyday situations. Active since the mid-2010s, Belles first released a series of singles before building her presence on the Nashville country scene and on American touring circuits. Her music coexists with contemporary production, a flexible voice with pop inflections, and confident references to a country tradition centered on narration. In 2025, the track “Crazy As Me” marked a new step in her visibility, before the announcement of “Son of Jolene”, recorded with Dolly Parton and slated for 2026. This collaboration clearly highlights the place Belles seeks to occupy: an artist of her generation who reclaims some narrative devices of classic country without treating them as mere exercises in style. On stage, Belles performs her songs in a format centered on proximity to the audience, balancing direct effectiveness with personal storytelling.
