Nox Novacula

Nox Novacula took shape in Seattle in 2017 and positions itself within a deathrock lineage nourished by dark post‑punk and gothic aesthetics. The project develops a tense, cold and melodic sound, where references to 1980s bands remain clear without amounting to a mere revival exercise. For Nox Novacula, this foundation inherited from classic deathrock combines with songwriting rooted in more contemporary personal and political concerns, giving the whole a more current hue. Since its beginnings, Nox Novacula has moved within circuits tied to the goth, post‑punk and dark alternative scenes, with a coherent visual and musical identity centered on nocturnal atmospheres, prominent bass lines, sharp guitars and haunting, expressive vocals. Nox Novacula has thus established itself in the recent deathrock landscape as a Seattle outfit attentive both to the genre's heritage and to its present reworking.
