Concrete Vehicles
Born in Vancouver, Concrete Vehicles began as a studio project among friends before taking shape as a seven-member stage collective. The band operates between experimental rock, post-punk and art rock, with songwriting that combines rhythmic tension, dynamic ruptures and more detailed arrangements where saxophone, synthesizers and percussion intersect. The result is a dense but mobile sound, capable of moving from abrasive buildups to more melodic passages without settling into a single format. On stage, Concrete Vehicles has gradually established itself on Vancouver’s independent scene, with appearances at events like Sled Island and Khatsahlano and a tour of Eastern Canada. This trajectory accompanies the release of Station On The Hill in 2025, which extends this collective and shifting approach. Through this expanded line-up, Concrete Vehicles works both the raw material of rock and freer textures, balancing raw energy, composition and controlled improvisation.
