Kill The Princess

At the intersection of alternative rock, pop and metal-tinged punk, Kill The Princess brings together four female musicians from the francophone independent scene, united by direct songwriting and a strong feminist stance. Formed in 2021, the band relies on sharp guitar work, taut rhythms and melodic choruses to address emancipation, anger, the mental load and power relations, with lyrics mostly in English. The release of the album Bitter Smile in 2023 established an initial sonic identity, between raw energy and more pop-oriented passages, quickly followed by the EP Save The Queens which deepens this mix of heavy riffs and accessible hooks. On stage, Kill The Princess has developed a resolutely live-focused format, working collectively on backing vocals and group dynamics, playing numerous shows from 2022 and mounting around forty concerts in 2024, including several opening slots for Crawlers, MADAM and Lofofora. This activity has progressively placed Kill The Princess within the network of rock/punk venues and festivals where emerging formations and established acts from the alternative scene converge.
