Blinded Colony

Born in Karlshamn, in southern Sweden, Blinded Colony was formed in 2000 under the name Stigmata before adopting its definitive name in 2002, and then The Blinded in 2010. The band sits in Swedish melodic metal, with a sound blending melodic death metal, fast riffs, guitar harmonies and alternation between screamed vocals and more melodic passages. After the first demos Painreceiver in 2000 and Tribute to Chaos in 2002, Blinded Colony signed with Scarlet Records and released Divine in 2003, a self-produced debut album that laid the groundwork for its aesthetic. Several lineup changes marked its path, notably in vocals and bass, while the band continued its activity with Promo 2005 then Bedtime Prayers in 2006, released on Pivotal Rockordings. Blinded Colony toured Europe in the mid-2000s and shared the stage with bands from the Scandinavian and European metal scenes, while also appearing at some festivals in Sweden. After further internal rearrangements, the formation evolved its identity and released in 2010 the EP The Blinded, which accompanies this name change.
