Haroun
Born in 1984 in Essonne and raised in Bures-sur-Yvette, Haroun first trained in improvisation after studying business, before dedicating himself to stand-up and solo performance. Based for a time in Toulouse, he created Tous complices in 2013, then moved to Paris in 2015, where his writing is marked by black, deadpan and absurd humour, often focused on political current affairs and the contradictions of public debate. His stint at the Jamel Comedy Club accompanied this growing visibility, continued online with the series Haroun casse la télé launched in 2016, which repurposes media sequences, and later with the format Ta blague. In 2017 Haroun presented Spécial élections at the Théâtre du Gymnase Marie-Bell, then wrote Internet etc. in 2018, centred on digital habits, and Seuls, performed at the théâtre Édouard-VII in 2021 before touring. Alongside the stage, Haroun develops writing and screen projects, including the book Les Pensées d’Héractète published in 2020, some film appearances and work as a screenwriter. In 2019 he also launched Pasquinade, a platform conceived to distribute his shows and other comedic content outside the usual channels.
