Stahlzeit
Founded in Germany in 2004, Stahlzeit established itself on the live scene as a project dedicated to Rammstein’s repertoire, within the Neue Deutsche Härte genre. Active in concert in this form since 2005, Stahlzeit performs the Berlin group’s songs while adopting part of their stage aesthetics, with a visual and pyrotechnic setup that echoes that universe. At the center of the project, singer Helfried “Heli” Reißenweber serves as frontman, surrounded by a lineup that has undergone several changes over the years, notably in 2013 and after the death of keyboardist Thilo Weber in 2017—who was replaced by Ron Huber—while bassist Sam Elflein rejoined the band in 2019. Parallel to Stahlzeit, several musicians also developed from 2010 the project Maerzfeld, this time devoted to original compositions. Between stage tribute, industrial rock and heavy‑oriented metal, Stahlzeit occupies a particular place in the landscape of German tribute bands by working as much on the interpretation of the songs as on their staging.
