Minorah

Based in Lyon, Minorah is the electronic project of Romain Chagué, a musician trained in classical piano from childhood at the conservatory before turning to composition, improvisation and production. Active under this name since 2017, Minorah develops music situated between melodic house, downtempo and progressive techno, with a marked taste for airy textures, piano lines and slow-building structures nourished by a neoclassical sensibility. His journey thus links rigorous training to a more atmospheric approach, where rhythms stay supple and harmonies occupy a central place. Present on the French electronic scene, Minorah is associated with the Happiness Therapy collective, of which he has been a resident, and both his sets and his productions circulate in contexts oriented toward organic, contemplative and at once danceable electronic music.
