Bustin' Loose

Based between London and New York, Tom Lilly, performing under the name Bustin' Loose, develops a project that sits at the intersection of disco, house, funk and soul, both as a DJ, producer and as founder of the label and the event series The Disco Express. His career sits within the British contemporary club and disco scene, with activity fueled by releasing tracks and EPs on several labels dedicated to nu-disco, house and boogie sounds, including Toy Tonics, Whiskey Disco, theBasement Discos, Ubiquity, Cosmos and The Disco Express. The discography of Bustin' Loose includes Disco Connection EP (2021) among other releases such as Iridescence EP and You're The One EP, extending an aesthetic focused on supple basslines, warm house rhythms and references to productions from the 1970s and 1980s. In DJ sets, Bustin' Loose moves between disco edits, vocal house, funk grooves and more soulful tracks, in a repertoire conceived for the club as well as for more festive party formats. His activity has led him to perform in several European and North American cities, while The Disco Express circulates between label, collective and events platform.
