Sandy Warez

Active since the mid‑1990s in Belgium, Sandy Warez began in hardcore before shifting his work toward a more industrial, abrasive techno from 1996 onwards, following residencies at Extravaganza and several Belgian clubs. A producer and DJ from the Belgian underground scene, Sandy Warez developed a sound situated between techno, hard techno and hardcore, characterized by dry rhythms, continuous tension and a direct rave aesthetic. His early period included collaborations with David Duriez and Liza N’Eliaz, before a more sustained solo activity around the turn of the 2000s. His discography notably includes the Plass Shot EP (2001), Tribal Tricks Vol. 1 and Hard Ace Vol. 1 (2002), Spanish Cookies (2003), and several 2004 maxis such as Abrossion, Pression, Operation Fastlink, Immersion in Hell and Brain Injected. Released on Belgian and European labels like D‑Form, Subsounds, Invasion, Cluster, 4x4, Jackstar and Djax‑Up‑Beats, Sandy Warez is part of an industrial techno and hybrid rave current linking Belgium to other international electronic scenes.
