Matt Bennett

Born in Massapequa Park, New York, Matt Bennett first made his name on screen before developing a musical career focused on DJing and a pop aesthetic tied to American youth TV. His breakthrough came in the early 2010s with the role of Robbie Shapiro on the sitcom Victorious, which aired from 2010 to 2013, after beginnings in 2009 in commercials, television and the film The Virginity Hit (2010). Bennett went on to appear in several film and TV productions, including Bridesmaids (2011), Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, The Stanford Prison Experiment and Manson Family Vacation, all released in 2015, and in Ariana Grande's music videos for One Last Time (2015) and Thank U, Next (2018). On the music side, he released the independently issued concept album Terminal Cases in 2016. Since 2022 Bennett has mainly performed as a DJ, putting together sets built around 2000s and 2010s TV pop—teen pop, series themes and songs associated with the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon worlds—in clubs and concert venues under the iParty and later Party101 formats.
