Ugo Banchi

Rooted initially in rock, Ugo Banchi grew up with electric guitars, raw vocals and a musical culture marked by the energy of amplified forms, before turning to electronic music in 2020. This change of direction opened up a production approach focused on pulse, textures and an expression more directly tied to rhythm, while retaining a sensibility shaped by his early influences. His entry into the field came with a first release on Diynamic, the label founded by Solomun, which served as the starting point for a project that has since developed through his productions and DJ sets. Without severing ties to his rock background, Ugo Banchi builds a precise electronic aesthetic where rhythmic tension, sonic material and the search for balance between warmth of timbre and clear track construction intersect.
