Reverend Baron

First identified in the American skate scene as Danny Garcia, Reverend Baron moved from a practice rooted in self-reliance and craftsmanship into music. Under this name he develops a universe anchored in the United States, with imagery closely tied to East Los Angeles, withdrawn urban landscapes and everyday scenes. His music sits between gentle soul, slowed psychedelic pop and hazy folk, often carried by nylon-string guitars, relaxed tempos and spare arrangements. Reverend Baron writes, records, produces and performs his own material, following a DIY logic that links composition, recording and production without a pronounced hierarchy. This multi-instrumentalist approach also appears in his work for other artists.
