ROYA

Based on the coast of Denmark, the duo ROYA develops an electronic pop sound that blends Nordic melodies, airy vocals and rhythms close to pop‑house. Formed by Line Gade and Sebastian Igens after a meeting arranged by international publishers, ROYA started out working behind the scenes co‑writing for other artists, among them 6ix9ine and MNEK, which gradually refined their approach to structuring choruses and productions. Following a personally more turbulent period, Line and Sebastian channeled that experience into their own project and began shaping ROYA’s sonic identity around songs that are both introspective and designed for the dancefloor. Tracks like "Kinda Sad" and "Cruise" have gradually placed the duo in the contemporary electronic pop landscape, supported by a strong social‑media presence where ROYA’s community regularly contributes to choosing themes or versions. The project continues to evolve in this back‑and‑forth between writing for others and developing a catalogue of singles that explore different shades of today’s electronic pop.
