EMJIE

Based in Brussels, EMJIE crafts an electronic sound that sits between house, indie dance and melodic textures. Her sets are built around pronounced basslines, crisp percussion and vocal accents that retain a link to a rockier, retro-tinged sensibility. EMJIE first made her mark on Belgium’s club and festival circuit before expanding internationally, playing venues such as Fuse in Brussels, Fabric in London, Lofi in Amsterdam, Sisyphos in Berlin, Bar Americas and Zamna Tulum, as well as festivals like Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland. In 2023 she held a weekly residency on Studio Brussel, a significant milestone in her career. On the production side she has released music on True Romance (Tensnake’s label) and Phisica, with a songwriting-led approach to modern, supple and rhythmic house that dialogues with an indie dance aesthetic without becoming purely club-oriented. Her trajectory places her at the crossroads of radio, festival and club scenes, as a DJ and producer attentive to the flow between Brussels and other strongholds of electronic music.
