Adrien Brandeis
French pianist and composer Adrien Brandeis creates music at the crossroads of jazz, Latin styles and a classical heritage, with writing focused on rhythm, groove and improvisation. Based in France while drawing on his travels, he builds a repertoire of original compositions that blend percussive energy, lyrical melodic lines and shifts in atmosphere. His stage career has taken him to a range of international contexts, from La Fenice in Venice to the Teatro Juarez in Guanajuato, Mexico, as well as the Blue Note Jazz Clubs in Shanghai and Beijing. Solo piano holds an important place in his approach: there he develops a direct and readable form without abandoning rhythmic complexity or the cross-influences that run through his music. This language couples elements of Latin jazz with a more European harmonic sensibility, in a format that remains open to both jazz and classical audiences.
