Loveth Besamoh

Founded by Cameroonian musician and producer Loveth Besamoh, the project Loveth Besamoh developed between personal compositions and a gradual rooting in Rotterdam’s alternative scene in the Netherlands. Initially conceived as a chamber-style work led by its initiator, Loveth Besamoh later took the form of a four-piece band with Do Milder on bass, Devon van Wijngaarden on guitar and Iwan van der Keur on drums. This evolution is reflected in music that blends post-punk, folk, afro-psychedelia, shoegaze and krautrock, with a marked taste for repetitive textures, taut guitars, circular rhythms and contrasts between raw intensity and more drifting passages. On stage, Loveth Besamoh built its trajectory within independent networks and venues associated with the Dutch experimental rock scene, where the project asserted an increasingly collective identity. Loveth Besamoh thus moves at the junction of several traditions — between direct songwriting, sonic exploration and group energy.
