Helen Frey

Born in 1991 near Strasbourg, Helen Frey developed her connection to electronic music from the 1990s dance and techno cassette tapes her father introduced her to. That foundation shapes a universe centered on direct, taut techno, where the energy of hard techno meets old-school rave references. Active in the Strasbourg scene from 2019, Helen Frey began mixing as a local artist before gradually extending her presence to clubs and festivals in France, Germany, Switzerland, Scotland and Canada. The year 2018 marked a turning point in her trajectory with the discovery of a more upfront techno, in the vein of the sound popularized by Drumcode, which permanently influenced her approach. Helen Frey released her first tracks in 2023 and has since been developing a project in which rhythmic power, dark textures and the memory of ’90s raves form a coherent identity across DJ sets and productions.
