Tito & Tarantula

Tito & Tarantula was born out of the bubbling alternative scenes of Los Angeles around Tito Larriva, a central figure in Chicano rock. The band early on developed a signature blending gritty, sticky blues, feverish rock and cinematic atmospheres — a style that propelled them into the spotlight through appearances in Robert Rodriguez’s films, notably Desperado and From Dusk Till Dawn, where their tracks became instant cult favorites. Carried by Larriva’s raspy voice and searing guitars, their music moves between dark sensuality and electric tension, shifting from desert rock to Latin rock. Across their albums, Tito & Tarantula refined a universe steeped in mystery and dusty groove, where blues, alternative rock and border folklore intersect.
