FUMI

Based in Tokyo, FUMI has developed a career as a DJ and producer rooted in Japan’s electronic scene. Active at WOMB Tokyo, he has hosted the N_U_O club night there since 2017 — an event that has structured his activity — and extended its identity with the launch of N_U_O RECORDS in 2020. His work sits within dance-oriented electronic music designed for the club, between house, techno and acid touches, with productions focused on rhythmic efficiency and dancefloor tension. In the same year FUMI released “Acid Film” (2020), a track frequently associated with his name on music platforms. FUMI has also supported international artists’ tours in Japan, including Skrillex, Diplo and The Chainsmokers, and performed at larger-scale events such as EDC Japan. Through residency, production and label activity, FUMI has thus built a trajectory linked to Tokyo’s nightlife and the circuits of club electronic music.
