Voltaire

Originally from a region remote from France's main electronic music circuits, Voltaire developed his career largely as a self-taught artist, before drawing on audiovisual training to refine the formal quality of his productions. Voltaire's music sits at the crossroads of techno, house and electro, with a marked taste for melodic textures, direct rhythms and a constant tension between heritage and contemporary writing. His references point both to the pioneers of Detroit and to the electronic aesthetics of the 2000s and 2010s, without being confined to a single school. Through his vinyl and digital releases, Voltaire has gravitated toward the Cod3 QR milieu and produced a remix of 'Tales from the Real World,' a track by Laurent Garnier. This collaboration forms part of an ongoing relationship with the French producer and DJ, which is also reflected in several shared stage bookings.
