Jeff Goldblum

Born in West Homestead, Pennsylvania, Jeff Goldblum has long pursued jazz piano alongside his acting career, becoming more visibly engaged publicly from the 2010s when he performed regularly in New York with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, a collective he leads on piano and vocals. Goldblum’s project occupies an accessible strand of jazz centered on American standards, swing and cabaret songs, characterized by a flexible, often conversational approach in which light improvisation matters as much as interpretation. This stage activity, nurtured by residencies such as at the Café Carlyle from 2014, took a recorded form with The Capitol Studios Sessions (2018) and I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This (2019), both released as Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. In 2023 he continued that trajectory with the EP Plays Well with Others, extending a repertoire that blends vocal jazz, orchestrated pop and reinterpretations from the Great American Songbook. For Goldblum, the group dynamic remains central: a club spirit, guest vocalists and a taste for revisiting standards without seeking spectacular effects.
