Ginton

Trained at the Conservatorium van Rotterdam, Ginton is developing from the Netherlands a project at the crossroads of electronic production, afro‑house, soul and global music, with the guitar as a unifying thread. A DJ, producer and guitarist, Ginton first gained attention as co‑producer of 'Tie That Binds,' a track by Drake on the album Honestly, Nevermind (2022), before broadening his scope through collaborations with Lojay, Rico Nasty and Gordo, including 'Candid Zone' with Leon Bridges on DIAMANTE (2024). His work favors supple club rhythms, warm melodic textures and riffs that draw as much from jazz as from African and Caribbean repertoires. This aesthetic also runs through his releases under his own name, notably 'Jejereje' with Stonebwoy and 'Kalabancoro' alongside Richard Bona and Salif Keita. Ginton also produced an official remix of Nina Simone's 'I Am Blessed.' Through Woody Trees, Ginton extends this cross‑disciplinary approach, active on the international electronic scene and open to exchanges with artists such as MoBlack, Francis Mercier and Tekno.
