Ronnie Romero

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1981 and based in Madrid since 2009, Ronnie Romero has made his mark on the European hard rock and heavy metal scene with a voice rooted in classic rock and blues and a melodic singing style strongly influenced by the 1970s and 1980s. After starting out in several Spanish bands in the early 2010s, Romero co-founded Lords of Black with guitarist Tony Hernando in 2014; with that band he recorded Lords of Black (2014), II (2016), and Alchemy of Souls, Part 1 (2020) and Part 2 (2021). His career reached a new level when Ritchie Blackmore chose him for the new incarnation of Rainbow in 2015, and it continued through numerous melodic hard rock and metal projects, including The Ferrymen (a trio with Magnus Karlsson and Mike Terrana), Michael Schenker Group, Vandenberg, Sunstorm and Elegant Weapons. As a solo artist he released Raised on Radio in 2022 (a covers album), followed by Raised on Heavy Radio and Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters in 2023. Ronnie Romero also represented Bulgaria at Eurovision 2022 with Intelligent Music Project.
