Myslovitz
Formed in 1992 in Mysłowice, Upper Silesia, Myslovitz coalesced around Artur Rojek, Wojciech Powaga, Jacek Kuderski and Wojciech Kuderski, later becoming a quintet with the arrival of Przemysław Myszor in 1996. The band built a repertoire located between alternative rock, indie rock, alternative pop, britpop and touches of shoegaze, marked by melodic guitars, melancholic atmospheres and songwriting influenced by cinema. After Myslovitz (1995), Sun Machine (1996) and Z rozmyślań przy śniadaniu (1997), they broadened their audience with Miłość w czasach popkultury in 1999 and moved toward a fuller, darker sound on Korova Milky Bar in 2002, an English version of which appeared in 2003. During this period Myslovitz played several European festivals and shared bills with acts such as Iggy Pop and Simple Minds, while occasionally working in film—most notably on projects by Jerzy Stuhr. Subsequent releases include Happiness Is Easy (2006), Nieważne jak wysoko jesteśmy… (2011) and 1.577 (2013). Following Artur Rojek’s departure in 2012 and a spell with Michał Kowalonek, Myslovitz have continued with Mateusz Parzymięso as lead vocalist since 2019. This line-up released Wszystkie narkotyki świata in 2023.
