Luis Fercán

Born in Galicia, Luis Fercán has developed from Spain a repertoire situated between singer-songwriter, indie folk and acoustic pop rock, centered on writing in Spanish and on spare arrangements that keep the voice at the forefront. Luis Fercán emerged during the second half of the 2010s with an initially intimate formula driven by the guitar, and gradually broadened his scope towards a fuller sound without departing from a direct, melodic aesthetic. His first album Grieta was released in 2018 and established the foundations of his universe, between confession, restrained tension and open choruses with a band dynamic. Over the course of his career, Luis Fercán alternates between solo formats and more developed accompaniment, which allows him to move equally through chanson stages, independent circuits and medium-sized venues in Spain. His songwriting favors linear tracks, measured builds and a clear articulation between folk, light rock and singer-songwriter pop, in an approach where emotion is conveyed less by emphasis than by the precision of the lyrics and the performance.
