Jens Kuross
Born in Seattle and settled in Idaho after a childhood spent in Ketchum, Jens Kuross has built a career spanning songwriting, performing in bands and studio work. Trained at Berklee College of Music in Boston and later at Azusa Pacific University, Kuross originally comes from jazz as a drummer and keyboardist before steering his solo project toward alternative songs centered on voice, piano and restrained arrangements merging indie-pop, folk and subtle electronic textures. He launched his solo discography with the EP Jens Kuross in 2016, followed by Art! at the expense of mental health, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in 2018. At the same time he toured Europe opening for Bonobo, Rhye and GoGo Penguin, and collaborated with The Acid, Palace, Hayden Pedigo, Curtis Stigers and RY X in live and recording settings. His debut album, The Man Nobody Can Touch, was released in 2020, followed in 2024 by the EP Everything is Poisonous on the Berlin label Bigamo. Between introspective songwriting and spare production, Jens Kuross maintains a flexible format that sits between songcraft and a sensibility drawn from the alternative and neo-jazz scenes.
