Vicki Brittle

Rooted in the Outaouais Valley in Canada, Vicki Brittle develops songwriting that moves between folk, rock and roots-pop, with songs focused on writing, melody and a highly accessible song format. Vicki Brittle made her name on the Canadian independent scene with a repertoire rich in personal narratives and arrangements that alternate acoustic passages with more rock-driven intensity, in a contemporary singer-songwriter aesthetic. Her career has taken her across the country's folk and Americana stages, where she has also opened for artists such as Sass Jordan, Logan Staats, Jon Bryant and Jeff Martin. Without relying on effects, Vicki Brittle favors a direct approach, propelled by storytelling and an interpretation that gives the lyrics a prominent place. This approach, at the crossroads of folk song and singer-songwriter rock, positions Vicki Brittle within a Canadian scene committed to live formats, festival circuits and encounters between roots traditions and contemporary songwriting.
