MOIO

Born to Nigerian and Irish roots, MOIO grew up in Dublin in an environment where music came as much from church as from the radio. A singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, MOIO developed a comprehensive practice early on: after piano he took up guitar and bass, began performing as a child and later started crafting his own songs and productions. His writing sits between R&B, soul, alternative pop and indie, with a flexible approach that prioritizes melodies, hushed textures and an emotionally driven performance rather than adherence to a fixed genre. After early tracks uploaded to SoundCloud, MOIO has gradually refined his identity through self-production and broadened his audience with songs like “SUNBEAMING”, “Open Your Eyes” and “Moments”. This trajectory has also taken him to the stage, notably at Dublin’s Forbidden Fruit festival. MOIO operates as an independent artist involved in every stage of creation—from writing to production—giving his music a tangible continuity between voice, arrangement and intention.
