Coco Elise
From Perth, Coco Elise is developing an indie pop project with dream pop, bedroom pop, and jazz pop contours, initially conceived in the studio and then extended on stage with a larger band format. Coco Elise's sound blends soft melodies, keyboards with retro tones, funky rhythms, and a light writing style that keeps a taste for quirkiness. From the early tracks released in the early 2020s to the confirmed singles like April’s Shoes and Feel Like Rubber, the project has established itself on the Australian scene between indie pop, neo-soul, and alternative pop. Coco Elise was notably programmed at Perth Festival for a date opening for Maribou State, then accompanied Jazz Emu on their Australian tour in 2024. In the same year, Coco Elise also played at Hyper Festival and followed with headlining shows as well as opening slots for Sex on Toast and Playlunch. Regularly aired on RTRFM and Triple J Unearthed, Coco Elise moves between intimate formats and more danceable live sets, with an aesthetic that remains flexible, melodic, and happily groovy without leaving a pop anchor.
