Marvin Humes
Born in Greenwich, southeast London, Marvin Humes first made himself known in British pop and R&B within JLS, a vocal group formed in the mid-2000s and revealed to the public by The X Factor in 2008. Before this sequence, Marvin Humes had already evolved in the group VS, then developed a path at the crossroads of music and screen, after starting as an actor in the series Holby City. With JLS, he participates in a rhythm-driven pop nourished by vocal harmonies, contemporary R&B and dance accents, on several albums including JLS (2009), Outta This World (2010), Jukebox (2011) and Evolution (2012), before the group's separation in 2013 and then its return from 2019. In parallel, Marvin Humes leans toward a more directly club register with LuvBug, a trio launched in 2014, where he explores electronic dance-pop built for radio format and festive scenes, notably with singles "Resonance" and "Revive (Say Something)". His activity as a DJ and radio host then took a central place, first on Capital then on Kiss and Kisstory, extending a constant link with pop, dance and urban music. Marvin Humes thus leads a career that ties vocal performance, club culture and audiovisual media, in a format both stage and radio.
