Ten Hands High

Born from the meeting of four musicians at the University of Leeds before settling in London, Ten Hands High operates in an indie rock register with melodic contours, between bright guitars, direct choruses and a live energy forged on stage. The quartet initially developed on the UK concert circuit, with a regular presence in London venues and at several English festivals, from Live at Leeds to Y Not, then Kendal Calling and Glastonbury. Ten Hands High also supported The Mercians on a British tour, a landmark that places the band within a current English indie scene attentive as much to pop efficacy as to collective playing. In terms of releases, the tracks "Duty Free", "Leeds" and "Eyelids", released in 2024, show songwriting carried by nervy guitars, a flexible rhythm and a readable production, halfway between British alternative rock and indie pop. Ten Hands High's evolution has occurred in stages, between early releases, radio support from BBC Introducing, Radio X, BBC Radio 1 or 6 Music, and the gradual rise of its audience at headlining shows in Manchester, Leeds and London. Ten Hands High thus sits within a live-band dynamic, built around a tight format and songwriting oriented toward immediacy.
