Konduku

Originally part of the Dutch scene before settling in Berlin, Konduku develops electronic music that sits between minimal techno, oblique house, broken beat and ambient. His productions move forward through detailed percussion, irregular syncopations and plays of depth, with a marked taste for atmospheric textures as much as for club tension. First identified in the circle around Nous’klaer Audio, Konduku later broadened his path with releases on Spazio Disponibile, Idle Hands, Delsin, Disk, Bitta and amenthia, while keeping a very recognisable writing style made of pared-down forms, supple pulses and discreet polyrhythms. His work negotiates a European minimal heritage, echoes of early-2000s tech-house and a more contemporary sensitivity to broken rhythms. Alongside his productions, Konduku has also established himself as a DJ, notably during his residency at De School in Amsterdam, where he honed an approach focused on groove, rhythmic pressure and progressive transitions. In both his sets and records, Konduku favours the internal movement of tracks over immediate impact.
