Roots Zombie

Roots Zombie is a project from Bordeaux, initiated by an electronic producer and a bassist rooted in dub, and formalized as a duo around 2017. It sits at the intersection of dub, reggae and electronic music, favouring an independent mode of operation and releases on alternative labels such as SoundRising Records, ODG PROD and Woodland Records. The collective’s discography includes Dub Vibration (2010), Soundz From The House (2017) and Dub Highway (2022) — entries confirmed via SoundCloud and Discogs. Since its first releases, Roots Zombie has maintained a steady publishing rhythm and a presence on digital platforms (SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram), while continuing live performances and sound system activity. Their work relies on diverse collaborations, self‑produced formats and an organisational approach that prioritises studio autonomy over commercial constraints. Today Roots Zombie continues to develop by refining release formats, exploring new directions and consolidating its visibility within the French and European dub and electronic scenes.
