The Checkup

Based between Berlin and Valencia, The Checkup develops a house palette nourished by the American tradition of the 1990s, with a marked taste for warm grooves, soul vocals and a dancefloor-focused approach. His DJ work and productions rely on a record-digging culture and an ongoing dialogue between classic references and more contemporary forms of house. The Checkup has released tracks on labels such as Snatch!, Nervous, Madhouse, Toy Tonics and Kaoz Theory, placing his discography within a club-house network that balances New York heritage, deep accents and more direct energy. Over recent years he has increased his dates in South America and performed regularly in cities like Berlin, London, Paris and Tbilisi, including sets at Berlin venues such as Sisyphos, Watergate and Katerblau. In 2024 he also made his Ibiza debut with a first appearance at Club Chinois as part of Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory Showcases, where he served as a resident. Alongside his artistic activity he runs the Heattraxx label, engaged since 2025 in development for vinyl releases, and holds an editorial leadership role related to curation at Beatport.
