voXXclub
Formed in Munich in 2012, voXXclub brings together several singers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland around a festive reinterpretation of Alpine music. This male vocal ensemble belongs to the so‑called “Neue Volksmusik”, at the crossroads of schlager, pop and traditional Alpine music, with arrangements driven by choral parts, communal refrains and a strong rooting in Bavarian festival culture. voXXclub first drew attention through flashmob videos—most notably around the song “Rock mi”—which spread widely on social media and established the group on German‑language stages. The early albums “Alpin” (2013), “Ziwui” (2014), “Geiles Himmelblau” (2015) and “Donnawedda” (2017) laid the groundwork for their repertoire, mixing reinterpretations of traditional themes with original compositions conceived for live performance. A regular presence on German and Austrian TV shows and at major popular events tied to Oktoberfest, voXXclub has developed a focus on collective energy, with simple choreography, chorused refrains and a constant use of Bavarian dialect alongside standard German—an aesthetic aimed equally at the pop stage and contemporary folk audiences.
