De Kraaien
The Dutch rap collective De Kraaien, based in The Hague, has developed since the early 2010s a hybrid project combining Dutch‑language hip‑hop, electronic rhythms and party energy. Formed around MC Prins Clit in Paanham and a core of masked members, De Kraaien first made a mark on the local scene with videos featuring crow beaks and absurd humour, before spreading more widely to club and festival stages across the Netherlands. The group practices direct rap, often delivered in The Hague dialect, over productions drawing as much from dubstep, rave and grime as from more traditional Dutch rap, with a taste for chanted hooks and fast tempos. Tracks like “Ik vind je lekker” place De Kraaien in a festive, provocative register where the lyrics play on caricature and self‑deprecation. Across singles and EPs, De Kraaien have refined a highly visual stage identity centered on an urban‑carnival atmosphere, while remaining rooted in the Dutch‑language hip‑hop landscape.
