Amaliah

Based in London, Amaliah belongs to a club scene defined by the meeting of rhythmic techno, percussive tech house and leftfield sonorities. As a DJ and producer she has developed her practice across clubs and festivals in Europe and beyond, performing at venues such as fabric, Panorama Bar, Tresor, Nowadays and Amnesia, and at events like Dekmantel, DGTL, Love International, Butik and Glastonbury. In London Amaliah also runs Borne Fruits, both a label and an event series conceived as a space for emerging artists, extended by a monthly show on Rinse FM. On the production side she has released tracks on labels including On Loop, Dekmantel Recordings, Tratratrax, Black Artist Database and Peach Discs, in a club-facing vein that mixes a dry pulse, intricate percussion and more oblique lines. Through her DJ sets as well as her releases, Amaliah asserts a language rooted in London’s nightlife culture while remaining open to varied scenes and audiences.
