Ragz Originale

Producer, songwriter and singer Ragz Originale has developed in London a hybrid approach blending British rap, alternative R&B and experimental pop. From the north of the city and shaped by the local grime scene, he first gained attention in the studio by co-writing and producing for Skepta, notably on the single “Shutdown”, before gradually foregrounding his own solo project. Across his releases, Ragz Originale has established a signature built on slow tempos, spare basslines, sung melodies that are almost whispered, and frequent use of silence that leaves ample space for the voice. A member of the MiniKingz collective alongside Oscar #Worldpeace and other London artists, he moves between collaborative work and intimate songwriting, regularly sharing the stage with the group. His collaborations with rappers and singers from both grime and R&B- and afro-influenced scenes extend this mix of references, while his live performances focus on translating deliberately pared-down productions to the stage.
