Alex Mofa Gang
Formed in Berlin in 2012, Alex Mofa Gang brings together five musicians from the same circle who previously worked behind the scenes of live shows as sound engineers, tour managers, lighting techs, backliners or merch people. The project first took shape around Sascha Hörold’s demos before settling into a register that blends melodic punk, indie rock, garage and pop choruses. Alex Mofa Gang released the EP Vorwort in 2014, then followed with the albums Die Reise zum Mittelmaß der Erde (2016), Perspektiven (2017), Ende offen (2019), Ende offen Live (2020), Nacht der Gewohnheit (2022) and Euphorie am Abgrund (2024). On stage, Alex Mofa Gang has toured with bands such as Madsen, Jennifer Rostock, Frank Turner, Montreal and La Vela Puerca, and has also headlined in Germany, appearing regularly at festivals like Hurricane, Southside, Highfield, Open Flair and Deichbrand. Two tours in South America in 2015 and 2016 also marked the band’s trajectory, whose songwriting remains tied to direct energy, nervy guitars and lyrics rooted in everyday life.
