Tayhana

Based in Mexico City after a formative period in Buenos Aires, Tayhana has been building since the 2010s a career that sits between DJing, production and Latin American club culture. She studied film at ENERC and co‑founded the artistic collective HiedraH in 2013, active on the alternative scenes of the Argentine capital, before collaborating with the circle around the Mexican label N.A.A.F.I. Her work unfolds as tense, rhythmic club electronics, nourished by Latin American references and experimental forms, with particular attention to storytelling within the mix. As a solo artist, Tayhana released the album Tierra del Fuego in 2019. Alongside her sets she has developed a practice as a producer and notably contributed to Rosalía’s track 'CUUUUuuuuuute' on the album Motomami (2022), while also working with Gaika and Eck Echo. Between Buenos Aires, Mexico City and various international circuits, Tayhana is part of an electronic scene where social issues, party spaces and dissident identities occupy a real place.
