Dion Timmer

Active since the mid-2010s, Dion Timmer is a Dutch producer and DJ from Groningen who has become a fixture of the international dubstep and bass-music scene. First discovered online through a string of tracks he released at a very young age, Timmer caught the attention of Excision, with whom he went on to share numerous studio collaborations and joint shows—exposure that put him on North American and European touring circuits. Across EPs and singles on specialist labels like Monstercat and other imprints tied to North American bass music, he has developed a sound centered on heavyweight dubstep with hard-hitting drops, balanced by bright melodies, future-bass-style progressions, and more atmospheric passages. His work moves between club-ready instrumentals and song-oriented cuts, regularly featuring guest vocals and structures akin to electronic pop. Alongside the slower tempos typical of dubstep, Timmer also explores trap-inspired rhythms and, occasionally, drum & bass, allowing him to move between different bass-music scenes and collaborate with artists such as Adventure Club while maintaining a clearly identifiable sonic signature.
