Laura van Dam

Based in Amsterdam, Laura van Dam produces electronic music at the crossroads of trance, progressive house and tense, melodic techno, built around dark synth lines, progressive rises and an energy designed for both club settings and large festival stages. She began DJing very young and took a first major step by winning a DJ contest at Blue Marlin in Ibiza at age 17, before studying electronic music production and sound engineering at the SAE Institute in Amsterdam. Her early tracks were released on labels linked to the progressive house scene such as DOORN Records, Protocol Recordings and Smash Deep, before she moved on to outlets like Armada, Anjunabeats, Armind, AFTR:HRS and Epic247. From 2022 Laura van Dam broadened her palette with more vocal and melodic productions while remaining rooted in a direct club aesthetic. She has appeared on stages including Tomorrowland, Ultra, EDC, Sziget, A State of Trance Festival, Printworks and Ushuaïa Ibiza, and has opened for Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond. Laura van Dam also hosts Capture Radio, an extension of her work as a DJ and producer.
