Holy Molly

Born in Bucharest in 1996 under the name Maria Alexandra Florea, Holy Molly first developed her career under the stage name Miss Mary, with early titles published in the early 2010s before adopting her current identity in 2019. Romanian singer-songwriter Holy Molly operates in a dance-pop realm that blends radio-friendly refrains, accessible electronic production and touches drawn from European EDM. Trained early in singing, and also having studied dramatic arts at the Ion Luca Caragiale National Theatre and Film University of Bucharest, she began her artistic revival with ‘Everybody’s Scared’ in 2019, then followed with several collaborations that established her name on the international pop-dance circuit, notably ‘Ménage à trois’ with Lizot the same year, ‘Back to Her’ in 2020, ‘Talk Talk’ with Drenchill in 2021, then ‘C’est la vie’ with Shanguy. Solo, Holy Molly also released ‘Alcohol’ in 2020, ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ in 2021, ‘Shot a Friend’ in 2021, as well as ‘Plouă’ with Tata Vlad in 2022. Her repertoire alternates between English-language tracks and Romanian pieces, with a writing focus on direct vocal lines, danceable tempos, and an electro-pop calibrated for both club stages and broad public dissemination.
