Boris

Based in Berlin, Boris Dolinski has built a career as a DJ and producer linked to queer club culture for more than twenty years. His approach places techno at the centre while welcoming a house-like warmth and a New York–inherited sense of groove. A long-standing Berghain resident, Boris works on long arcs, with patient progressions and shifts in intensity; his sets are conceived to support the dancefloor’s dynamics rather than to pile on effects. His production work has appeared on Ostgut Ton and Careless, and his musical identity was shaped between the Berlin scene and the imprint of venues like Paradise Garage and The Loft, visited during stays in New York. This interplay between dense, physical, nocturnal techno and a more open, collective-minded approach to the party runs through Boris’s work. Over the years he has also played numerous clubs and festivals outside Germany, with residencies noted at Faust in Seoul and House of Mince in Sydney.
