Admiral Fallow
Born in Glasgow around singer-songwriter Louis Abbott, Admiral Fallow took shape in 2007 under the name Brother Louis Collective before adopting its current identity. The Scottish band, conceived as a multi-voiced ensemble, develops an indie-folk sound with expansive arrangements, where acoustic songwriting intersects with touches of indie pop and chamber folk carried by clarinet, flute, accordion, piano and percussion. Admiral Fallow made a name for themselves on the Scottish scene in the late 2000s and quickly broadened their reach with appearances at T in the Park, Celtic Connections, SXSW, Glastonbury, Latitude and the Cambridge Folk Festival, while sharing bills with King Creosote, Frightened Rabbit and Belle and Sebastian. Their discography opens with Boots Met My Face in 2010 (reissued in 2011), followed by Tree Bursts in Snow in 2012, which introduced a denser, more choral songwriting approach, and Tiny Rewards in 2015. They continued with The Idea of You in 2021 and First of the Birds in 2025. Over the years Admiral Fallow has maintained a balance between intimate storytelling, collective texture and folk-pop melodies that occasionally take on darker shades.
