Info
On September 24, 2027, Jean-Michel Jarre will arrive in Gdańsk to perform at Ergo Arena as part of the Oxygene & Beyond Tour. This is a meeting with an artist who, since the 1970s, has consistently developed the language of electronics: long, instrumental forms built on synth textures, repetitions and melodic motifs, associated with his breakthrough Oxygène, but also with later Équinoxe and Les Chants Magnétiques.
Live, Jarre combines soaring, cinematic harmonies with precise rhythmic sequences, and his sets can seamlessly transition from minimalist pulses to more danceable structures known from the Rendez-Vous and Chronologie eras. The visual layer is also important: a fondness for large-scale visuals, light and projections that have co-created his concerts for decades. In Gdańsk you will hear a cross-section of sounds that have shaped electronic sensibilities for several generations, in a version tailored for large, arena-scale performances.
