Info
On Friday 30 April 2027, Bess Atwell brings her quietly disarming songwriting to Electric Bristol, with a set that leans into the intimate, straight-to-the-nerve connection that’s become her signature. The London-born artist has always written from the inside out, but her latest chapter, Cut a Figure, pushes that instinct further: songs shaped by a nine-month move to Canada, where distance and solitude sharpened her view on relationships, decisions, and the stories we tell ourselves to get through.
Expect a live show that gives space to the voice first, stripping things back when it counts, then building tension through moodier, pop-leaning textures. Tracks like the Eighties-tinged “The Act” and the slow-burner “Your Name” circle themes of anger, anxiety, and self-protection without turning them into big statements. It’s personal, precise, and made to be heard in a room together, where small details land harder.
