Info
On 24 April 2027, Nubiyan Twist arrives at L’Alhambra in Paris with its variable-geometry collective energy, born in Leeds in the early 2010s. Led by guitarist and composer Tom Excell, the group has built a sound that does not choose between genres: contemporary jazz, Afrobeat, soul, hip-hop and African music styles weave into dense arrangements where the horns take center stage and the vocals latch onto more crafted refrains. On stage, the idea remains the same as on record: grooves that move forward with purpose, improvisation without showmanship, and a collective sense of an orchestra. After laying the foundations with Nubiyan Twist (2015), accelerating the pace with Jungle Run (2019) and widening the palette on Freedom Fables (2021), the group continues to refine this blend on Find Your Flame (2024). A concert conceived as a journey, between Afro pulses and jazz lines, tailored for the concert hall as much as for the dancefloor.
