Los Kjarkas have stood for Bolivian Andean music for more than five decades, not turning tradition into a museum piece but keeping it alive: huayño, cueca, saya and bailecito meet multi-voiced singing, melodies carried by charango and quena, and lyrics drawn directly from everyday life and the region's stories. On October 23, 2026, they bring this unmistakable sound to Munich's Backstage Cultural Center.
Many people know their repertoire without realizing it: 'Llorando Se Fue' later became a worldwide hit under the title 'Lambada,' and other pieces have also become steadfast anthems for generations. For the group's 55th stage anniversary, they will also come to Europe with Ballet Kjarkas – an evening that fuses a concert and folklore staging without losing its core: the songs and this special Andean energy.
